We recognize our children’s individuality and ensure that all learning styles are met and children are allowed to grow and learn at their own pace. The Sunflower room itself is divided into different work stations offering a wealth of learning experiences which support the learning outcomes of the Curriculum and helps prepare your little ones for Primary education. The Curriculum for Excellence is the national education guidance for educational establishments working with pre-school children right through to secondary school.The guidelines provide a strong foundation for learning and offers all children the chance to learn and explore in a method that suits them. We are particularly fortunate to be situated in a community that is rich with opportunities for learning, our pre-school children receive Tennis Lessons at the local Tennis Club and are due to start swimming lessons at our local pool which is a stones throw away. We are a ten-minute walk from the beach where the children have many a fun day taking their learning outdoors and exploring their natural surroundings. In addition we use the local Church Hall for extra-curricular activities such as Street Dance, Athletics or drama. All of the above are in line with our ethos that aims to grow healthy happy children who will approach the next step of their learning journey with confidence.
As a partnership nursery we provide funded ante and pre-school education and work closely with South Ayrshire Council to ensure this meets and exceeds the local authority’s standards and expectations. We employ a fully qualified GTC registered teacher to ensure our pre-school education is delivered with confidence and your child receives the best educational start.
